Mari and Kari met through their mother, Lety Assad! They have lived their lives twin light meaning they looked alike, their names rhyme, and are close in age. They were partners in crime in high school, lived it up together in Los Angeles, and were the cutest people at the Eras Tour (by far). They also CRUSHED it at the Chappelle Roan concert where they only lost each other twice in line to get pizza. Don't worry the youth were very nice to them even though Mari and Kari don't get their fashion style. Mari is now assuming the power and responsibility of Maid of Honor. We salute her!

Mara and Kari first met in high school when Kari saw Mara and thought oh yay another Mexican I can talk to. Mara is Filipino. They still became best friends anyways. In high school they sounded like the stars of Pen15 but now as adults they still sound like the stars of Pen15. They went to prom together, worked late nights at Kitchen24 in Hollywood (where Mara pushed Kari but Kari never brings it up ever), have accidentally hurt people going through haunted houses and using strangers (and family members) as human body shields, survived working at Gamer YouTube company, and are still besties today!

Tessa and Kari met at Kitchen24 in Hollywood where they bonded over sophisticated things like panic attacks and how to stop panic attacks. They then became best friends when the other one wanted to have a sleepover! Tessa and Kari have produced comedy shows that tens of people enjoyed, ruined improv shows, and were asked to never take a writing class together again. They have remained besties even though Tessa has left the cult of comedy and LA to pursue things like "family" and "children". But they talk all the time even through the new changes, a sign of true friendship!

Will and Kari met at the infamous Kitchen24 (that you may have noticed has been a theme in these stories). They were together in the trenches and worked the late night cafe and were both so bad at serving that the manager offered to take some tables away from them, but didn't because they started crying. Will has performed music on many of Kari's variety shows (including Kari's smash hit show Kari Assad's Quinceañera as photographed above), was in a band with Marc for awhile, has been a true friend in times of need, and Kari & Marc are so happy to have Will be part of their special day!
